This is a 10 week seminar on taijiquan tuishou or push hands. This is a fundamental training and practice method of Taiji to learn to engage with another person and learn leverage, reflex, sensitivity, timing, coordination and positioning. Pushing hands works to undo a person’s natural instinct to resist force with force, teaching the body to yield to force and redirect it. This workshop is suitable for beginners, but some taiji form training is highly beneficial. This seminar will teach competitive and martial aspects in a friendly and non competitive way.
